Due to time and budget constraints, we'll be foregoing updating our SAP ECC 6.0 SAP_BASIS and SAP_APPL components to SP10 and as a pre-requirement to implementing IBP Add-On afterwords. Instead, we were presented an option to just install the SAP IBP CPI-DS agents on dedicated servers, and they'll do custom coding to extract data from our ECC non-prod and production systems as an alternative option.
With that said, do you know the performance impact or performance-sizing requirements needed on the dedicated or existing production server with taking this alternative approach? I'm interesting in understanding how much impact on performance to anticipate on production and if we'll need to purchase new dedicated servers to install the IBP CPI-DS agents to proactively prevent and manage performance issues in our existing production servers.
