I'm using interactive forms in webdynpro, when I use a Value Help Drop Down List on an element the elements don't get showed (elements get shown when i use a enumerated list)
And if I click on the "Value Help list" the webdynpro loading symbol apears and stays on. And I have to close my browser.
I'm using
nwds 2.0.9
WAS sp15
plugin is also 15
any ideas ?
I'm having version 7.0.5 installed

A something else.
If i use an Enumerated drop down list with also the same amount of values my pdf doesn't get rendered.
I'm always getting a XML form service is not running exception. could this be another manifestation of the same problem ?

An upgrade is for the moment not possible. But I will create an OSS message for this problem

Hi all,
from SAP side, I would recommend to use the enumerated DDL whenever possible. With Nw04s and a new integration technology that works without the ActiveX, you get support for EVS and OVS for DDL on Adobe Forms. This makes the handling of such long value lists easier and faster.
Nevertheless, you can in increase the size limit for the other value help in default.properties via parameter "sap.valuesetlimit.maxondemand". Be careful: that impacts also the standard value help of Web Dynpro.
Besides that, the issue that the browser hangs is worth a OSS message. That is a bug.

Stefan

Is there a maximum of values that a value help can display ?, For 4 values it works fine. but I have a field with 4000 values (Postal codes) an this seems to freeze the browser. The loading screen stops rotating an the browser doesn't respond anymore.

The problem with the value help seems solved,
but my problem with the enumerated drop down boxes still isn't solved (see other topic).
thanks for the great help.

I just checked TutWD_OnlineInteractiveForm (Value help) and it seems to work now.
I'm now checking the enumerated drop down boxes
