CAL Free trial two instances

Hi Everyone,

We have a free trial of SAP CAL which we are using for a S/4HANA 2020 FPS02 fully activated appliance. The 30 day free trial is ending soon and we want to launch S/4HANA 2021 Fully activated appliance when it is available.

With free trial, If my S/4HANA 2020 Fully activated appliance is still active, and 2021 is already available, can I launch a new instance with this new version?

Hi JP,

yes, you can run both instances in parallel for the first 30 days under the trial agreement.

If you want to use an instance beyond 30 days you will need a valid S/4 license and the CAL subscription, see here for details.
