App version not shown in app info

Hi everyone,

I`m looking for a way for being able to see the version number of an app that`s being started via launchpad.

It should be possible to specify app versions according to the SAP help page user guide:

When I open the info box in the app, it looks like this:

Where can I specify version numbers of apps and how can this number be seen in apps started from the launchpad?

Any answers greatly appreciated... thanks!

I think it is known but unfortunately I am not aware what is the status / planning regarding this topic.

first: as in online help pages mentioned:

In Detail:

You only can see an app version for an app with real App ID on FLP of OnPrem systems:

For "apps" which are GUI transaction no app version is available:

e.g.

because it is a reference to a transaction

So far I know when you are using a cFLP the information about app id is currently not provided !

I assume that this is the situation in your case because a source system for this app is displayed:
