Charts in Subreport are not exported in "Excel" or "CSV" format

Hello,

I have report with Subreport embedded in it. And that Subreport contains a Bar Chart & some data regarding that bar chart. When am trying to export the report only PDF format gives me both Chart and Data, either Excel or CSV format is not working (no chart is exported).

Please let me know, how to get Subreport Chart in Excel format while exporting.

If i place the subreport in Details section, export to excel is displaying the chart but repeating in 4 times. As of now, i have placed the Subreport in Report Header section and inside Subreport the Chart is placed in Report Header section and some data in Details section.

Please let me know the apt place to place the Subreport and Chart inside the Subreport so that it is exported in Excel format.

Thank you Abhilash & Vitaly. Am using CR 2008 version. I managed to fix this. When i export the report ( Main & Subreport), the chart in the subreport was not exported but i can see blank space in the place of Chart. Then I right clicked on the blank space where the Chart is hidden and selected Grouping->ungroup and a message prompt will popup I selected ‘OK’, then the Chart was be displayed.

I just tested in the latest version of CR and bar charts in subreports are exporting to "Microsoft Excel (97-2003)'" format with no issues.

What is the version of your CR Designer?

Is there anything specific with the subreport chart, subreport location? Is subreport page orientation the same as main report?

Try to simplify scenario and create a very simple subrepport with simple bar chart. Would it work?

What version of Crystal Reports do you use?

I have no trouble exporting charts in Subreport to the Excel 97-2003 format.

Am using "Microsoft Excel (97-2003)'" format. Where should i do this "you'd need to check 'Export Images' in the Export dialog box."? Main report charts are exporting to excel, only the Subreport charts are not exported.

Hi Kayalvizhi,

Charts are not exported to CSV.

What format of Excel did you try export to? Charts are exported in the 'Microsoft Excel (97-2003)' format.

Limited Chart features are also exported in the Data Only Excel format, however, you'd need to check 'Export Images' in the Export dialog box.
