sap ewm external step is not updating in HU correctly

Hello Expert,

I am facing a strange issue in S/4 system.

I am confirming a WT which is moving HU from packing to staging, but the external step remaining same on HU.

OB03 should be updated here but it remain OB02 only.

It work well in EWM9.5 system, do we have any extra config setting in S/4 which need to be maintain to update HU correctly with external steps.

Maybe, the destination bin of the staging task is not correctly configured ?
If you are working on outbound delivery, check if the destination bin is correctly updated ?
You may find more information on the WO LOG (activation : /SCWM/ACTLOG).

Hi,
Try to assign YOPK or OB02 (packing) step to the workcenter.
Then, YOST step must be triggered after closing HU in the workcenter.

That's the exact setting we have. It works fine in Dev and not in Q. Master data, Configs are exact same, not sure what is causing the HU HDR update with the process step.

Surprisingly the HU WT has the correct steps but then the HU task is confirmed the HU HDR is not getting updated correctly.
