Posting date when using AS02 to change the cost center

Hi,

when i use AS02 to change the cost center of assets, if the ‘From-date of new interval' is earlier than the currently system date, FI document's posting date will use the system date automatically.

I want to know is there any configuration about this? if not, what is the reason of choosing the system date, instead of the new interval date i put in?

Please advise.
