select member in the columns

Hello SAC Friends

I am not able in SAC to have the same freedom that I had with the EPM ADD-IN to specify three dimensions in the columns and show only the below combinations ( for example I don't want to see ACTUAL 2021 or BUDGET 2020)

category: ACTUAL BUDGET PLAN

date: 2020 2021 2022

company code: C001 CTOT CTOT

do you know how can I get the above?

You can use either forecast layout or cross calcualtion with restriction to achieve the asymmetric reporting you are looking for.

There are several options and workaround ideas, but none of them are really viable/maintainable in real implementations with SAC today:

- Forecast layout
- Cross calculation / Restricted measures (with constant selection)
- Advanced filters
- Right click columns and hide unwanted combinations
- Validation rules (locked but cannot hide unwanted combinations)
- Do not use unbooked mode, but write zero's in combinations needed
- Copy needed actual periods into forecast/budget version

I would say for your full requirement, especially with 3 versions & 3 dimensions it's simply not possible in SAC. Suggest you to vote on this influence request and raise with SAP representatives:
