Unable to change Maintenance Plan category for a Single Plan

When using transaction code IP41 to add a single plan, there is an option to select which maintenance plan category will be generated when the single plan's start of schedule date occurs. I am trying to change the this option after I created and saved the plan, from "generate notification only" to "generate work order". SAP will not allow me to change this option even when I use transaction code IP15 "Change Maintenance Plan". Can someone help?

Do receive any error/warning messages? If so, then can you please post the full message text including message number?

Also, can you post a screen-shot of the issue.
