Time Management | Generating Absence Quota - Days off


My client wants to change the process of generating absence quota for days off.

The new rule says that we need to calculate the hours between the time the employee leaves the company (clock out) and the time he starts working next day (clock in). Then compare it to 11 hours.

If the number is lower than 11, then the difference is added to the absence quota.

For example:

P20 Clock out on 01.02.2017 - 10 PM

P10 Clock in on 02.02.2017 - 7 AM

The number of hours between these two time events is precisely 9 Hours.

Any thoughts on how to calculate this difference between two days?
