Process Order can not be released

Hi All,

I have a process order and when I try to release order, I got message "release carried out" and I save the order. But when I open order in display/change mode, it is still in created status, it is not getting released. When I try to check log for release, there is no log available. Can anyone help me in this situation if any master data change required to release order.

Also if I release order in COR1 itself, it is getting released. Why i can not release order in COR2 ?

Thanks in advance

Hi Suryansh

The reported case looks like very peculiar case. Just to know more details,
Is it happening for all the Materials (or) is it the case with only specific Materials ?
Is it the real-time Production Issue (or) Ant Test case scenario, in the Test System ?
Is it possible to share, few screenshot of the steps followed, to understand the situation more better.

Thanks & Regards : Raj

Hi Raja,

Thank you for your response. We have this issue only for one material in quality system.

Hello

When this kind of behavior is observed you will usually find an update termination in transaction SM13 and possibly a short dump in transaction ST22.

Very often this is caused by a number range issue, when your current number is incorrect and system tries to insert a record in the database with a key that already exists. If this is not the case, we would need to know the details about the update termination or the dump to help you.

Hi,

There is no dump in ST22 and no update in SM13. Coming to number range issue - for other materials, orders can be released in COR2. We are facing this issue only for 1 material.

It seems to be some inconsistency in the classification but I have never seen this specific issue causing problems on an order release.
