what are the benefits of analytics in sap mdg ?

I have read that Statistics and graphics allow you to indentify and fix General gaps in the process, bottlenecks and errors. Is it possible to navigate directly to problematic cahgne requests in order to FIX a problem or is it only for anylysis which helps you to identify issues ?

Which person is usually used for analytics ( is it right, to restrict it to Master Data Steward and Data Exerts) ?
