Not able to convert from dd.mm.yyyy to dd-mm-yyyy while downloading file as excel.
I am able to download format with *, _, . (star, dot, underscore) but not able to download file with Hyphen (-) format.
In general what comes out in Excel is using the format that Excel "thinks" you are using.
If you want data to appear in a certain format you have to provide that format, so in this case you need to format it using abap as dd-mm-yyyy and then store it in a char10 field rather than a dats one.
The other option is to reformat the column once the data is in Excel.

Good morning,
It is difficult to answer your question as you have a lot of tags assigned, but not any indication of how or where the download is processed from.
