Downloading a file from http website

I have download exchange rate excel file from UK govt website every month and update the exchange rate in Database table using batch job, manually.

How to do this using webservices?

Please guide me step by step as I am new to webservices

Impossible to say. Please provide the documentation of the respective UK government Web Service to get the exchange rate data.

sonalipriya2249 You know but we don't know. Depending on the type of Web Service, it's different solutions. Thanks for confirming the URL, and consequently Thorsten answered your question (CL_HTTP_CLIENT). There are also many snippets in the forum and questions/answers around.
