Linking dimensions from different models does not work in SAC

Dear Colleagues,

I am trying to link dimensions of two different models(see picture attached)

This has worked on other models for me, but here I get the warning which you can see in the picture, and when try to save it by clicking "set" and want to display a chart with the linked models, this is no possible.

I am a bit confused by "YOu can blend these models as long as the amount of data returned from the systems not performing the blend is within each system's defined limit"

What does this mean specific?

How can I fix this problem?

Both models are from live Hana views.linkage-error.png

Thank you so much and best regards,

Florian

Hi Florian,

Are both HANA live models using the exact same connection defined in SAP Analytics Cloud?

Kind regards,

Hi Martijn,

No, the TREP model is using "MIT" as connection, whilst the STEP Model is using "BW" as connection.

Hi Florian,

Fixing the problem and getting a native 'blend' experience can only be achieved when both models use the same HANA live connection.

I haven't seen this warning myself before but I can imagine it has something to do with limitations regarding browser-based blending. For more information please refer to SAP Analytics Cloud Support Matrix.
