As a retailer we import a lot of merchandise for resale. Is it possible to setup a cost conditions to query a separate database, find the relevant data, and perform a calculation to determine the cost?

Hello,

You might want to tag Sales & Distribution as well in case you are talking about a Sales Order Pricing Condition or MM in case of a Purchasing pricing condition.. Calculating cost based on values in another system/database should be possible so long as you have an RFC connection(design an RFC Function module to fetch values).. use this in the Condition calculation routine(VOFM).. Haven't tried it before but no reason this shouldn't work..

Regards,
Vijay

Vijay,

Thanks. Thinking of creating a Z table in S/4 to collect the different costs and using the data from this table in the cost condition. No RFC connection will be needed.
