SAP EPPM on-prem Analytics with SAC / BW

Hi,

We are starting the EPPM project in our company, and right now we are trying to understand what are the standart reporting available and what can we add with SAC or BW.

Do you know any approach to this? There are some addon's for EPPM (PPM + CPM) to be used in BW or SAC, like extractors, etc..?

BW ewill be mandatory? (since we do not have it...)

Never really worked on PPM BW integration but found these details. Hope it helps!

As per OSS note - 2716026,

There are following options for analyzing your S/4HANA PPM data:

• Separate SAP BW system: You can use a separate SAP BW system, on which you implement software components BI_CONT and BI_CONT_XT. You can then use the Data Sources for PPM that are supported for usage within SAP S/4HANA with classical BW. The DataSources are listed in SAP Note Nr. 2500202. The shipped BW Content for PPM can be found in the BI Content documentation for Portfolio and Project Management.
• Separate SAP BW/4HANA system: You can use a separate SAP BW/4HANA system, on which you implement software components BW4CONT and BW4CONTB. You can then use the Data Sources for PPM that are supported for usage within SAP S/4HANA with SAP BW/4HANA. The DataSources are listed in SAP Note 2500202 and SAP Note 2232584.
  In BW4CONTB a subset of PPM InfoObjects is shipped and can be used to build customer content models. The list of all InfoObjects shipped with BW4CONTB can be found in SAP Note 2395613. Currently there are no standard content models shipped for PPM. Note, that in case you are carrying out a conversion from SAP BW to SAP BW/4HANA and have the PPM Content active, you can keep/convert this content during the conversion, so it will all be available for use in SAP BW/4HANA.
• Embedded Analytics in S/4HANA with custom CDS views: Or you can build your own analytical CDS Views on top the of existing, officially released CDS Views, in order to support embedded analytics scenarios (i.e. create your own PPM content for use in Embedded BW directly on your SAP S/4HANA system). Officially released CDS Views can be found using the Fiori App "View Browser", which is part of SAP S/4HANA (App ID F2170). Fiori Apps "Custom CDS Views" (App ID F1866) and "Custom Analytical Queries" (App ID F1572) can be used to create custom CDS views and custom analytical queries without any coding.
