    Hello Maruti,

YOu can have delta intialisation for data sources which support delta mechanisms.

for eg. in case of LO datasources, you need to have a setup run which populates the setup tables sitting on the applicatin tables on the R/3 side.

Then you can carry out delta initialisation on the BW side which pulls teh data in setup tables.

This initialisation load also sets up a marker based on the selction conditions used in the infopakcage. This helps the system to understand to pull in new records or changed records (based on the selection used in initialisation run) as deltas thereon.

    Have sent you a mail...

    Hope it helps..

    thanks,

    HI,

The delta initialization is only done the first time. After that you should have an InfoPackage that extracts delta data. The initialization InfoPackage is only done to set up delta extracts.

You need to do an Init only once. Infact the system will not allow you do another Init if the old one also exists. Init is simply a process of setting the pointer to facilitate the later deltas.

Initialization is similar to a fulload but the records loaded will be marked for observing future changes.

Delta process must be initialized (full load + system setting) before any delta load.

The init timestamps are saved on source system in table ROOSPRMSC. The selections (if any) made in the init request are saved on source system table ROOSPRMSF. Every delta load time stamp are saved in a table for the individual data source.
