Hybris 2105.2 : Unable to load Editor Area for Backoffice ViewType

Hello,

After upgrading our application from hybris 2011.4 to 2105.2. View Types in backoffice stopped working. We are able to search for reports and list view is visible , however when we click on specific row in listview, backoffice throws the following exception.

Steps to re produce this issue is as follows

  1. Search for Report Definitions in explorer tree
  2. Select any report definition (Note : This issue is reproducable for all OOB hybris reports definitions as well)
  3. Click on search by type
  4. Select any item from the listview
  5. Backoffice will throw exception and editor area is empty

Any ideas or help would be appreciated.

Two things to try before further investigation. Have you reset the Backoffice config in F4 Orchestrator mode? Have you cleared all orphaned types from HAC after your update running system?

I've seen errors like this in Backoffice when an item type referenced by that particular item (reports in your case) has been changed or removed between versions.

Yes we tried all those different options, However this issue is a bug from Hybris.

We have reported it and hybris is going to deliver it in patch 2105.4
