Unable to set Retention times in Manage subscription tile in SAP DMC

Hello experts ,

I am trying to set create a new subscription on OPC tags though SAP DMC "Manage Automatic Trigger" application but its not allowing me to set "Minimum Retention Time (Seconds)".I have already created all equipment hierarchy and connectivity to OPC tags.

Any helps or hints is really appreciated .

I have also referred SAP Documentation on the same but it doesn't work

Hi Supriya,

You are definitley taking the right steps.

For Retention Time, you can select one of the existing retention times in the dropdown list or choose Set Custom Data to set a new one.

Actually, I just tried it myself, and it works just fine that way.

That said, I recommend you the following:

- Check your PCo version and make sure it is a supported version.

- Start fresh, refresh / reload this app, and start from scratch creating a new Subscription.

- Try smaller values like 1 to 5 seconds, which makes more sense than 10 or 30 seconds for subscriptions.

- Check if you have all the needed roles in place for this user, maybe some permission is the issue but the UI complains differently.

and last option would be to raise a BCP Ticket.

Just FYI, Retention Time value is used to set the time period on how often PCo detects the tag values from shop floor layer through PCo / PCo on edge.

Each PCo agent has a retention time. That said, if you create New Retention Times, new agents will be created in PCo for that specific Retentiom Time.

You can check, start or stop the agents and view the retention time in the shop floor system tab of the Machine Model and Connectivity app.
