Hello,
Could you tell me if it is possible to duplicate a BOM of Functional Location to another F.L. ?
Thanks in advance 🙂
Hi,
You'll have to go for material BOM and use it under construction type field of all functional locations where you want to duplicate.

Vijay

I'm not sure if I understand your question fully. But, I think you want to use an "IBAU" material. This is basically a material BOM. This material can be used across multiple functional locations. When you update the IBAU material then each of the FL using the material will also be updated automatically.

Thanks for your help.
Indeed, the IB11 transaction allows the duplication of F.L. BOM
But, when the BOM is really "empty" : if I erase a old BOM ( because the contains is wrong by example )
==> it not possible to duplicate the BOM , because I must to use the IB12 transaction
Is there not a solution to get around this problem ?
Best regards

YVES G.
Go to transaction IB11 and enter the FLoc for the new BOM, then press the copy button to enter the reference BOM to copy from, then choose the items to copy and amend/save.PeteAYou must be a registered user to add a comment. If you've already registered, sign in. Otherwise, register and sign in.

The solution for this is by using the indirect BOM assignment. Take a look at a previous question which is quite similar: https://answers.sap.com/questions/13490422/single-bom-multiple-equipment.html?childToView=13490453
