Sap analytics cloud acquiring planning data

Hello,

I need to adquire data for a planning model in SAC from a non-SAP system.

I found this link from the blog How to access non-standard data sources within SAP Analytics Cloud | SAP Blogs

But i don´t understand if with this method we can import data from non sap systems and send it to a planning model ??

or it only works for visualizing data in an analytic application dashboard ???
