AIN business partner creation of notifications

Hi,

Is it possible for an AIN Business Partner to create a notification on a shared business object? The use case I have in mind is a business partner reporting on an issue that needs to be addressed by the asset owner.

There is a user authorization (NOTIFCATION_EDIT or NOTIFICATION_DELETE) for creating notifications, but that is intended for use by users within the owning organization. I see how existing notifications can be shared with Business Partners but not how they can create them.

Hi Rob,

I guess the "Improvement Request" App could be interesting for you. You do not have to share, you address the business partner in the request. (Choose "external")

There you can choose between different categories such as "Product improvement".

In the field "Provider" you choose the business partner you want address.

So there is no "sharing" as usual in AIN.

I forgot to mention you have to allow your business Parter to address "Improvement Request" in the "Application Settings" app->General Application Settings (scroll Down) choose between "All Partners / Selected Partners / None"

Thanks for the response. It's a interesting idea. Improvement Requests are intended to work the other way from the operator to the provider. Maybe you could flip the script and set them the other way but it would be awkward.

I want to have a vendor inspect the asset and inform the owner via a notification that they need to do something (e.g., by turning that notification into a work order in S/4). Can I just assign the user permission to a partner to create a notification on equipment? I don't know if that is possible.
