Actual Lot Qty GR 03 Inspection

Hi Experts,

We are working with 03 and 04 (early lot creation) inspection types and have a partial confirmation (GR) scenario. Let say order qty is 5, 03 and 04 lots get created at time of order release with inspection lot qty and actual lot qty both 5. Now when we do partial confirmation and GR of 4 qty, the inspection lot qty and actual lot qty does not get updated to 4 qty for 03 inspection lot whereas for 04 (early lot creation) system creates another new inspection lot of 4 qty for both inspection lot qty and actual lot qty and it does not cancel the earlier 04 inspection lot which was created at time of order release due to 04 early lot creation setting.

Can someone please clarify that why does the system not correct the actual GR qty to 4 in case of 03 inspection lot and also why the system creates another inspection lot for 04 (why it does not update the qty as 4 in the original lot that was created)?

Does it also mean that the actual qty in inspection lot will be updated only for the inspection lots that get created automatically through GR & thus will never work for 03?
