My customer produce cards with nominative mention (first and last name) and they want to use PP module to manage production activity.
They produce about 10000 cards per day and they use an automaton that needs absolutly the nominative informations (name) before producing the card.. and they want to use production orders to manage this automaton. The quick solution is to use one production order per piece, but I would like to know if there is any other solution ?Thank you in advancehello
thank you for your answer,
there will be no impact on the performance of the system as they will create thousands of production orders per day. I wonder if there is a way to group these nominative specifications in the same OF ?
the automaton needs a peace of paper with this nominative informations in barcode format before starting production. for this I think print one paper per production order (specifiq developpement : shop floor paper inhancement)

Hello
I can imagine that you are using make-to-order and that the names will come from the sales orders, right?
A very simple solution is to save the names on a text field in the sales order called "production memo", which can be then copied to the production order. This old thread explains the config behind this feature:

Another solution is to use variant configuration and save the names on sales order characteristics, which are then available in the production order. Be aware that this might be too complex for this scenario where you just need the names.

Caetano
