Unable to log on to SAP BTP ABAP Environment trial using ADT

Today a colleague ran into an an error when trying to connect to her trial system that was located in Europe (Frankfurt).

"Unable to get or create a Service Key for the selected Service Instance. Please make sure that your user has the appropriate roles in the Cloud Foundry Space of this Service Instance."
