Hello together,

at the moment we are migrating from Web IDE -> BAS / vscode.

I´m missing the following UI5 Layout Editor in vscode:

Someone an idea why this Editor is not released as part of the Extension Pack? Or am I missing something?

Thx & Regards Richard

For MDK, we have the MDK layout editor available in BAS. I am not familiar enough with the UI5 variant to answer for that. Hopefully someone more familiar with UI5 can comment.

bill.froelich I´m back again because it seems no body knows. Do you have maybe some contacts which are in the development tools group?

Sorry to ask again but all other tools are available as public extensions / npm packages and our developers here are missing the feature 🙂

@Benjman Seeger No at the moment the Layout Editor is only Available in BAS as far as i can see.

Right Click on a View -> Edit with... -> Layout Editor is not available via the vscode extention pack as it seems.

@ bill.froelich Do you have some contacts for us? I think the layout editor would be nice in vscode also

Hi,

I can't say if it is the same editor that you want (looks like question missed a print?), but Fiori Tools - Application Modeler have a visual editor. It have a prerequisite tough (mentioned on its page): migrate project for Fiori tools. If you don't do that it will wither won't work or won't show Visual Editor on command palette.

I really recommend to backup (either zip or version control system) your project before executing migration, because it will change a bunch of files without questions, some files the tool makes a ad-hoc backup, some it won't.
