Hello Team ,
While installing Brand-new IPS version on after Giving the DB details and credentials with DB reset Option as "no"
Facing Below error "Failed to decrypt object 100 using cryptographic key ID: 4. (FWB 00090)"
if i gave the reset DB option as yes , it is getting proceed to further step .
My current OS is AIX and DB is Oracle
On same DB there are 3 other applications reside on it with different schema names .
If i use reset option is "yes" , it only reset the specific CMS related schema which is "BODS" else it will reset entire DB and other System schema's as well !! , Please someone clarify on Below DB reset Option ? what exactly it will do ?
Else suggest on below error :
Facing Below error "Failed to decrypt object 100 using cryptographic key ID: 4. (FWB 00090)"
For your reference below is the input :
Oracle TNSNAME
[XXX.WORLD ]
User Name
[BODS ]
Password
[XXXXXXXXX ]
Reset existing database (1 = yes, 0 = no) -- This means it will reset entire DB or specific Schema ??

Hello Sai.
The reason you maybe getting this error is becuase you did not supply the correct cluster key during patching process. Typically if you are just patching an existing BODS deployment, you do not have to reset the database. See if you can find the correct cluster key and use it along with the CMS administrator credentials when prompted.
However, if you would like to set it up freshly and there happens to be some data in there, then db could be reset.
The reset db option will clear your earlier CMS database which is in specific to the Oracle connection you are using. and controlled by that user's credentials. so if this user has only BODS / CMS system specific tables and views, those will be wiped out.In any case, it is highly recommended to take a proper backup of the database before performing any install/update actions just in case you are in a situation where you need to restore it back to the previous state.
hope this helps
