The installed SAP Notes cannot be transported

Dear SAP-Experts,

Italy is going to remove the Esterometro obligation as of January 2022. Consequently, foreign transactions (including intra-community ones) will have to be reported in SdI (Sistema di Interscambio). For this reason, we are forced to install the following SAP notes in our system.

We have fully implemented the recommended SAP notes in our development system.

When transporting on our test system, two subsequent error messages occur:

  1. Program CL_EDOC_UTIL_IT, Include CL_EDOC_UTIL_IT: Syntax error in line 000040. The implementation of the method 'CLASS_CONSTRUCTOR' is missing.
  2. Program SAPLEDOC_IT_AIF, Include LEDOC_IT_AIFU04: Syntax error in line 000075. The formal parameter 'IS_ADDITIONAL_INFO' does not exist.

Can anyone help?

With kind regards

Difficult to say, it's specific to your system. You should ask an ABAP developer in your company to determine why you don't have CLASS_CONSTRUCTOR implementation in the transport request, where it is, etc. Probably it has been assigned to another transport request which has not been imported or imported later...

In addition to what sandra.rossi said: if you never even tested in DEV before transporting, it is also possible that the object is missing altogether because of a skipped manual step or note.

(EDIT: in that case it probably means someone forced the activation before releasing the CR, though)

Hello Sandra,

Hello Andrea,

how can I find out to which SAP note the class CL_EDOC_UTIL_IT belongs?

Thanks in advance for the help.

Hello all,

I have found the class "CL_EDOC_UTIL_IT" in SAP Note 2734157.

Actually, the method 'CLASS_CONSTRUCTOR' has been added to the class "CL_EDOC_UTIL_IT" in development system.

But the class cannot be activated.

When I try to activate it manually, the system wants a SAP modification key.

Thanks in advance for help.

Emal

You can't, easily. You can find what transport they might be on using the tools in SE03.

What you've got here is a transport issue, not a note issue, most likely. Transports are delta changes. You may have a transport that should have been imported first.

Another possibility is that your test system is not on the same service pack/release/version as your development system.

You need a developer to check your systems and figure out what the missing objects are and why they're missing.

Hello Matthew,

I am a SAP ABAP developer. Unfortunately this is a problem of SAP note. Because there are two error messages as I described above. The second error message: Program SAPLEDOC_IT_AIF, Include LEDOC_IT_AIFU04: Syntax error in line 000075. The formal parameter 'IS_ADDITIONAL_INFO' does not exist. appears on the development system.

The SAP Support Web site indicates that you must install the note 2781715.

Be careful, if one is missing, maybe many more are missing too, without syntax check errors.

SAP don't always get it right. The first thing to do if you have a problem installing a note is to make a ticket on support.sap.com

Either:

  1. Your systems aren't on the same release
  2. You've not got all the notes
  3. SAP have screwed up with dependencies - so push back
  4. You've got overtaking transports.

That's it. I've handled all 4 in my career.

@Sandra Rossi: Tank you very much.

Now, I have implemented SAP note 2781715 suggested by you.

The error message "Program SAPLEDOC_IT_AIF, Include LEDOC_IT_AIFU04: Syntax error in line 000075. The formal parameter 'IS_ADDITIONAL_INFO' does not exist." has disappeared. But thanks for your hint

I will now activate the class "CL_EDOC_UTIL_IT" manually, with SAP modification key. Hopefully I can undo it in the next release upload.

@Matthew Billingham: I have already opened an incident on SAP (see below) and will inform you about the solution proposed by SAP.

Incident 748975/2021 (P3) - The installed SAP Notes cannot be transported - Status changed: In-Process
