M-Factor update from Rule vs Content

Hello All ,

I hope you are doing good ,

We have a List substance and it's data is updated by ERC_ PS content (M-Factor) is also updated and data inherited to PURE substance then M-Factor available at Pure sub level as well and when we run Expert rule GHS_EU ( as apart of Multi rule call) we are getting another entry for M-Factor at Pure substance level , now the issue is we getting duplicate entries , can we control the rule that if the data is already exist do not write the value ? Will it impact other substance ? how can we control this issue via standard ? I saw in the rule overview document this M-Factor is input and output for most of the GHS rules for component and product .

Please provide the inputs if you faced the issue and solved it..

Hi Satya,

The manual says "For substances the M factors (acute and chronic) are written in property "M factor", if they are

not loaded from a regulatory list or maintained manually."

You do have the M-Factor maintained, so I find it strange that GHS_EU writes another one, since exactly this shouldn't happen. Is your GHS_EU set up to read data with validity area REG_EU?

Hi Ralph ,

We load the list and we are using reference not inheritance ,still I don't think this has some impact , is it ? You mean to say Regulatory basis was missing ? How does the Regulatory basis will impact ? Could you please explain a bit.

I gone through the GHS_EU documentation as well. No where it was mentioned.

Hi Satya,

a bit strange since exactly that shouldn't happen, as explained in the manual of GHS_EU. The value you inherited to the pure substance has no regulatory list assigned, that may be the reason. It should be part of the data point, though. Did you not load the list?
