Hi Community,
i'm treating with the following scenario:
Tranfer Customers and Vendors master data from SAP MDG (on S/4 hana) to a SAP ECC system that it will be the slave in the process
The tranfer data has to be realized using SAP Cloud Platform integration as middleware
The data transfer must be synchronous with “immediate” acknowledge of the transfer result
No data transformation from source to target is required
Given that there is the basic problem of transferring customer and vendor master data created with a business partner in S/4 to an ECC system that does not provide it, is there a best practice to implement this integration scenario using SCPI as middleware?
Thanks a lot and regards
Have you considered using CVI in the ECC system? - Then S/4 to ECC could be BP to BP and ECC will replicate the changes from ECC BP to Customer and Vendor?

Dear Amo ntella,
thanks a lot for your suggestions.
Indeed, it would certainly be better to communicate via idoc between systems in compliance with best practices and in this direction we will try to guide the customer's choices.
To your knowledge there is full compatibility between CREMAS and DEBMAS idoc types in S/4 and ECC?
Our idea would be to manage the outgoing IDoc from S / 4 to ECC ensuring the management of the existing business partner in S / 4 or through the use of the CVI or alternatively managing the synchronization on ECC through the MDS_LOAD_COCKPIT.
Do you consider both scenarios feasible based on your experience?
Do you think both ways are reliable?
Thanks a lot and kind regards,
Francesco

Hi fravit11
you asked about best practices and by definition sap only can reply about it 😉
My answer is, due to the complexity of this integration, don't put middle men between mdg and ecc and yes i think sap cvi is the right way.. You will redefine if you need SCPI (or PI or others) for no-sap-systems after the workflows between mdg and ecc are working smoothly
btw good question , I hope someone else will pitch in with inputs 🙂
cheers!A

Hi Amo ntella,
first of all thanks for your feedback and answer about.
You are right, in truth there was a specific request from customer in the middleware direction: "Considering the evolution of the SAP MDG usages (other no sap systems to integrate) it is required to find an unified integration solution (SCPI)".
When you are talking about direct connection from MDG on S/4 to SAP ECC by idoc do you refer to SAP CVI usage for BP Synchronization too? How do you imagine technically the communication scenario via idoc from MDG (on S/4) to ECC?
Thanks a lot!!
Francesco
