Issue in SAP Persona after SP13 upgrade -affecting user experience

Hello Experts,

we recently upgraded to SP13 and after that we are facing strange issue with android device.

Now for every input field when we put cursor in the field , persona shows a new page , there it show the selected field on top and then drop down values from history. I am not sure why this feature is added and if there is any way out to stop it.

This is only happening in android devices, in laptop browser the flavor work as expected.

Appreciate if someone share if they see this issue with SP13 upgrade or how we could fix it.

Hi Ritesh,

I think, this is the mobile value suggest screen that you are seeing. It was already there for the SP11 and SP12 version.

Options:

1) Tell the mobile browser to render Slipstream Engine in the desktop mode OR

2) Add ＆sap-se-valuesuggest = 0 URL parameter to switch the feature off

A big thank you for the quick reply and your kind help. I tried with ＆sap-se-valuesuggest = 0 and it work fine. Could you please suggest will it impact any other service or value in flavor?

Also , how i can try the option you mention in point 1 " Tell the mobile browser to render Slipstream Engine in the desktop mode" ?

Good day,

The Slipstream Engine parameter sap-se-valuesuggest supports the following values:

• 0 - field history and value suggest are disabled
• 1 - field history only (value suggest disabled)
• 2 - value suggest only

This parameter is only affecting the text input control field history and the value suggest features of Slipstream Engine.

Some browsers such as Apple Safari on mobile devices let you specify the rendering mode for the given web application. By configuring your browser to render Slipstream Engine in desktop mode, you will disable the mobile value suggest screen that is appearing when you click on an input control without the discussed parameter being set.
