How to include item text from Purchase Requisition item in "My Inbox"?

We use Fiori app "My Inbox" to approve purchase requisitions. We would like a way to display the information in the Item Texts field in the workflow item shown in "My Inbox". Prior to upgrading to 1809, when we used the dedicated Approve Purchase Requisition app it was a simple configuration steps to get text type "B08" from the purchase requisition to display. Can someone explain what we need to do to view this information in the approval app? I have read some customizing would be involved but could anyone give specifics about what kind of code I would need to create, and where to put it?
