AFO 2.8 - Login during the refresh of an existing Query does not work

Hi there, I have used Analysis for Office 2.8 SP0 and created several workbooks with BW Queries. Then I have upgraded to AFO 2.8 SP8 and today also to 2.8 SP11 (which has the same error).

The problem after upgrading AFO is that if I open an existing Excel AFO file which was created with 2.8 SP0 and I am at that time not yet logged in to our BW, that the login after choosing 'Refresh' or 'Prompts' does not work. The login screen comes, I enter my password and then I receive the following error message after typing in the right password:

What I have to do now is going the long road. I have to click in an empty Excel area, choose Insert Data Source, Select Data Source for Analysis. Choose our BW server and then login. This works. Afterwards I just cancel the Insert Data source and up from that time I can refresh the existing Query without error.

Means I have to login to BW via Insert Data Source. Otherwise I get for the Login the above error message.

• For Queries which I created with SP8 or later, this issue does not exist. Here I can directly login in the refresh procedure without problem

Anyone an idea what I can do to fix it?

BW Server used is Netweaver 7.50 SP10
