Webi variables in SAC

Hi All,

We are using webi report as the model source. Its Live data model. I have created a variable in webi which is calculated based on other variables that exist in webi. These variables shown up correct values in webi but when used in SAC chart or tables doesnt show any value. Couple of variables simple calculation and couple of variables have complex calculation using ForEach, In, ForAll. Did any one experience this.

As its a live data model all my calculations should be done at the source (webi in my case).

Please advise how to handle variable issue in SAC

Hi all,

Variables are supported in LDC since a long time. What is not supported are delegated measures and thus variables built on top of those delegated measure.

The webi variables you are using in SAC query builder may not be supported by LDC.

Can you please send me the definition of one of the variables which is not working? As I mentioned delegated measures are not supported, you may have used one in the variable formula.

Hello deshmukh,

Webi variables are not yest supported on live connection to SAC. Webi variable fall under WebI document category as your are planning to use your WebI report as source. In fact this is not yet supported on import connection as well.

Thanks for the reply. We are using LDC 3.3. You screenshot above gives info till LDC 2.4. We have been using webi source to create live data models. We created couple of models and used simple variables (simple logic) and seem to work fine but not the complex variables.

Dint know you are on latest version.

Derived variable are still not supported with LDC 3.3. Check below -
