Data Types / FIELDVALUE function Excel Compatibility

Hello marc.kuipers,

We want to insert an Excel sheet with country flags icon instead of country names. To do so, there is a new Excel function called FIELDVALUE but only avalaible in recent versions. Is that Excel functionality compatible with SAP DM?

I am not familiar with this FIELDVALUE function, but is it only available on Office 365 version (i.e. the cloud version)?

If so, this Office version is not supported by DM, see: https://blogs.sap.com/2020/07/22/disclosure-management-with-office-365/

If it is available on the on-premise Office version, I still assume the function makes some web-service call ? (e.g. to get the latest stock price of a company)

This would always lead to issues in DM when doing a server-side refresh, as most servers will not have access to the internet

So- in short, not sure - if it works in Excel then it can be used with the DM client, but I have my doubts on the server-side.
