How to get contents of any html page using XSJS

I am making an XSJS application, and I need to get the contents (html) of the entire page of any specified url, as a string for further parsing. I know this is not possible in the front end because of cross domain restrictions, but it should be possible in the backend. Eg: Node.js has a special function to take in a URL and return the html contents of the same. I wanted to know if there was an equivalent in XSJS. If not , could you please guide me as to how I can write it myself.

Thank you

You can use NodeJs Library with XS Advanced or you can use $.web.WebRequest() if you work with XS Classic
