How to stop amount being multiplied by order quantity

Hi,

How do I stop the amount being multiplied by the quantity. We don't use SAP in the traditional way and we enter the amount for the full quantity, not just 1. Everytime I change the quantity it multiplies the amount by that number but I don't want it to do that. How do I stop that?
