I am facing an issue while reversing the goods movement in VL09.

I have created a returns order followed by a returns delivery .

I want to use VL09 to return the operation, but there will be an error as shown in the figure.

What methods can I use to successfully operate.

Hi,

please check your MMBE if there is enough stock.

If yes please consider that the VL09 checks the available stock on the specific posting date, therefore you have to check additionaly the goodsmovement between now and the posting date in MB51 and check if there is enough stock at the time of the posting date.

You can then adjust the posting date accordingly - or create some stock

Kind regards

Why would you want to "create some stock"? Stock doesn't get created out of the blue. It's a result of a business event.

indeed creation via business event 🙂

or for test purpose - falling from the sky

depends on the requirement ..... which is for me here not 100% clear

Hello 123077754

The answer of robert.forster3 is spot on - you just don't have enough customer returns stock to cancel the return delivery. The question is what happened to your stock? See, the return delivery is an inbound process. When you posted goods movement against the return delivery, a customer return stock was debited / increased. Now, when you want to cancel the return delivery, the system is trying to credit / decrease the stock. However there is not enough stock. Most probably, the customer return stock has been already transferred to another stock e.g. unrestricted used stock. So to successfully the return delivery, you first need to cancel whatever movements were posted to the return stock after the return delivery posting.
