Hello,
as I understand the "Spaces" will be assigned to a role, but the spaces layout possibly contains different pages with different sections and that means, a lot of Apps. But If the user should only have access to a few of it. What would be the best way to design spaces layouts corresponding to a variety of autorization requirements? For Example: One user should have access to all apps from the layout and another one should only use certain Apps from the layout. From my understanding, I have to design either different user dependent space layouts or I have to solve it via different Roles with more or less business catalogs. So what is the best solution to have different authorizations with one general layout, if the only the space has the connection to a business role?
Kind Regards, Michael
Hi Michael.... In my opinion it is best not to default every app that is in scope for your project in spaces/pages/sections as this would make the Fiori Launchpad look cluttered and jeopardize UX as users will then have to scroll or click a lot to find what they need. It is best to default only the most frequently used apps and encourage users to find apps either using the search or the app finder.
If a specific group of users should or should not have access to certain apps that should should be managed using catalogs and roles.
Hope this helps
