Hi Experts,
I want to give a filter on stories to shown the numbers either in Million or Thousand or absolute. I am looking for this option in Stories not in Analytic View.
Thanks,
Neeraj
Hi Neeraj,
that would not be called a filter. You might want to adapt the wording. I would say you want to dynamically change the scale of your measures.
However I do not think this is possible in the stories.
Are you aware of the influence portal where you can submit new product ideas: https://influence.sap.com/sap/ino/#/campaign/884

Hi Neeraj,
A workaround would be to introduce a "scaling factor variable" in all your measures via a formula. You could do that in a prompt (in the query/view) or in your story: Create a new measure calculation for each measure, and add an "Input Control" in the formula with values 1, 1000 and 1000000. Divide the value by this input control. You can reuse the input control in multiple calculated measures, so you only have a single input control in the story.
Good luck!
Cheers,
Xavier

Hi Neeraj,
Are you looking for an option to change the scaling during view mode? I found an improvement request submitted on the Customer Influence portal where it is stated that this will not be developed: 244240 - Change scale setting in view mode.
Another option would be to use a measure input control, but there is no way to group measures to switch multiple measures at the same time.
So I guess the only option for this use case is to switch to an Analytical Application.
Kind regards,

Thanks, Anna for your guidance. I meant an option similar to filters currently available, where I can do this scaling.
