Does anyone what the three letter codes in the best practice content mean or the purpose of it.
Here is an example. Accounting and Financial Close (J58)

The 3 letter code is a scope item number. You can find more information on the scope items in SAP Best Practices Explorer SAP Best Practices Explorer SAP help also contains references to the scope items - see example for J58 Auto Reversal of General Journal Entries - SAP Help Portal
They have no underlying meaning. They are randomly assigned IDs for scope items.
