while I am creating new equipment after entering all the essential details a message pops field cost center is not ready for input, what could be the reason, what to do please guide me

While creating or changing an asset using function module ASSET_MASTERRECORD_MAINTENANCE, you tried to assign a value to field Cost Center. However, field Cost Center is not ready for input.

System Response

The asset master record cannot be processed.

Procedure

Check the screen layout and your asset view.

• Automatic Creation of Equipment Master Records, Specify Conditions for Synchronization of Master Data
• Screen Layout, Define Screen Layout for Asset Master Data
