Hi All,

We see that in SM51 one of the app server has trace active. But when we checked st12, st05, st01, trace there is no trace enabled. When i try to set trace level to 1(default) in SM50 it does nothing..

Can someone help where i should check to disable this ?

Sanket

Hi Sanket

Go to SM50, select the affected work process and press Ctrl+Shift+F7.

Set the trace level to 1 and save.

Cheers

It must be due to the ICM trace, make sure you change the ICM trace to default in SMICM

Hello Sanket,

Do you see any work processes with yellow background in transaction SM50?

If not, then the trace that is active is not in work processes.

Have you verified whether the RFC Gateway (transaction SMGW) or the ICM (transaction SMICM) are running on trace level 2 or 3?

You can switch their trace level back to 1, if you are not trying to capture any issue.

Hi Isaias,

Yes i just checked in SMGW and SMICM both of these are already set to trace level 1 i.e. default.

In SM50 i selected all the WP -> Administration -> Trace -> Active Components -> set trace level to 1(default)

But still the WP in yellow doesn't disappear.. 😞

Hello Sanket,

Try clicking 1x at any work process, in SM50 (just to set the focus on the WP table).

After that, go to Administration -> Trace -> Active Components.

Click at the "default values" button, set the "WpTyp" accordingly (e.g., DIA) and then click at the "save" button.

I believe this will work.

Check this SAP Note: 495911 - Logon problem trace analysis

It describes how to activate the trace function and you can check if some of the mentioned points are active.

If possible add some screenshots for better understanding.
