Hi,

I am working with SAP MDK in VSCode and somehow I can't run/build the app. It is not able to read any page.

I've already downloaded the latest MDK version, but it is still not working.

Any ideas how can I solve it?

Sofia,

We will need some more information before we can suggest anything. Let's start with the following:

  1. Are you working on Mac or Windows?
  2. What type of client are you trying to build (iOS, Android)?
  3. Are you trying to run on a physical device or emulator / simulator?
  4. Have you run the dependency installer and verified all the pre-requisites are setup?
  5. Have you already run create-client and successfully created the client? Did it create successfully?

Thanks!

Hi bill.froelich, I also get the same issue. It seems to have coincided with an update to the vscode plugin (1.20)?

All actions which reference page elements throw an error that they can't find the page, although everything seems fine with the same code in Business Application Studio.

The issue here being that I am unable to debug the code as the errors are thrown on the validation of the metadata.

When exactly do you see that error?

Hi jitendrakumar.kansal after running 'Validate application', although I am still able to successfully run the build, not sure what was happening earlier.

Was there any error after executing Validate application command?
If i understand correctly, you don't see the issue anymore, right?

(i just looked into my branded client built using MDK SDK 5.2.4, no error as such)

Hi jitendrakumar.kansal, I still see the error but it no longer seems to be blocking debugging.

Were you able to resolve this issue? If you were able to find a solution, could you post it below so it might be helpful for other community members?
