J2SE Adapter Engine / JMS Adapter

Former Member

We need to connect to MQ Series 5.3 (Websphere MQ) from the XI (3.0 SP16) box.

1)Is J2SE adapter engine needs to be enabled/configured in order to use JMS Adapter? Cant we use J2EE JMSAdapter instead of J2SE JMS Adapter?

2) Where can I download the JMS Adapter libraries, for installation?

Ours is unix-based installation.

I have gone thru the thread

and the SAP Note: 747601 that talks about J2EE JMSAdapter MQSeries libraries.

TIA,

Steve

You can download the libraries from market place. Also go through the below url for how to deploy them:

I have gone thru that HOW-TO guide. It didnt mention anything about configuring J2SE adapter engine. How do I configure this before installing JMS libraries.

Thanks,

Hi Steve,

Standard JMS adapter comes with XI. But when you are trying to connect to external systems like MQ or Sonic, you need to get the "client" files from vendor. and then you need to deploy the same in your XI.

Following link will give you the step by step procedure
