SAP Analytics Cloud monitoring

Hi All,

I would like to establish advanced monitoring for SAC, and I have two use cases:

1. General SAC availability and response times: not only to check if SAC is up and running, but is the response fast or not, what is the response time from different geographical localizations etc. Something like in Cloud Availability Center, but with details about response time and location. I am looking for something like this - SAC response time (seconds) per location (to see how SAC is working for users in different regions).

2. Single SAC Story monitoring: tracking of the time needed to load particular story, to check for any drawbacks, measure the performance improvements (after tweaking the story, upgrading source systems etc.).

I would like to see what the time is to open & have results for SAC story and compare it for different period during the day (for example, if it is slower when I have more users in the system), and spot some performance improvements for example after SAC QRC update, BW4 update etc.

I am wondering what is a recommended tool from SAP to monitor SAC? Rather not SolMan, at least not for the point 2, where I would need to record or script the SAC navigation. There is a module in SolMan, but it supports only IE and is not developed further. I found this question from 2019: SAP Solution Manager and Sap Analytic Cloud, where tammy.powlas3 mentioned SAP Cloud ALM, but I don't know if SAC is supported or if it will be, and what is possible.

I know that I can use other platforms to monitor SAC (for example DataDog), but as SAC is SAP software, I would like to understand first what is the SAP recommended way to monitor SAC.

I don't know if you know the "SAP Analytics Cloud Performance Analysis Tool" of the SAC content?

Hi m.kreitlein, Performance Analysis Tool is something different. I need something to be run every x minutes to get daily, weekly, monthly overview and trends.

Hi Todd, not yet, however, we are more and more looking into DataDog. We have POC in progress, so no final results yet.
