Which Eclipse version Neon, Eclipse Che or Orion?

I am looking to down the current SAP HANA Studio to my PC.

Previously, I had used MARS 32 bit.

Now the options are: Neon, Eclipse Che, or Orion?

Can I expect that since SAP FIORI is using Orion, the SAP HANA will also be moving to Orion?

Please advise.

Regards,

Joe G.

If you wanna use the SAP HANA Studio aka HANA Tools for Eclipse on your local PC, you have to use Eclipse Neon.

Eclipse Che is the base for the SAP Web IDE for SAP HANA. So if you are using SAP Web IDE for SAP HANA for XSA development you are using Eclipse Che by default in the backround. You do not have to install it, cause it is shipped with SAP Web IDE for SAP HANA.

Eclipse Orion is the predecessor of Eclipse Che. It is not used in the SAP HANA Context cause the SAP Web IDE for SAP HANA is already built on the new version.
