Restrict some products for putaway to certain level of storage bin

Dear Team,

We want to Restrict some products for putaway to certain level of storage bin in our EWM Warehouses.

Please suggest.

Hi

"we can create new section for those bins, assign section indicator to those products, complete the required configuration related to it."

That is the standard option in EWM, always recommendable.

"1) We are using same Storage Bins for other products as well and for other products, we don't need any level restriction."

That should not be any problem. You only need to maintain the section indicators accordingly and set up the section determination.

"2) If we create new section for these Bins , I think Put-away for other product would also be impacted."

Again, only a matter of maintaining master data and setting up the determination properly.

"3) We want this level restriction for one product only and with same set of Bins as being used for others."

Also not problem.

Anything else would mean a non-standard solution, which means you have follow-up maintenance / costs.

In Our production system ,

1) We are using same Storage Bins for other products as well and for other products, we don't need any level restriction.

2) If we create new section for these Bins , I think Put-away for other product would also be impacted.

3) We want this level restriction for one product only and with same set of Bins as being used for others.
