After a BW upgrade our BW system cannot connect to import external data from our external system.
This external system is an AS400 IBM iseries power 9 with DB2 database.
We have installed SAPHOSTAGENT on the AS400 and upgraded to a recent version.
We also downloaded and installed SAPCAR the most recent lib_dbsl_<patchlevel>
We are using XDN as the connection method and see the XDN listener running on port 963 of our iseries.
The connection check when run in SE38 ADBC_TEST_CONNECTION is successful.
When going into RSA1, we can create the data source and we can even see a list of tables within the database and selected DB object schema. Once we select a table, and try and save, we are prompted with the error
"Table XXXX does not exist in database system XXXXXX"
There have been intermittent times when we can save the table (sometimes when we create a new record). But 99% of the time we get nothing.
All existing process chains are failing with the error Interface extract_direct not implemented by method dbextract
We have followed all steps in SAP notes:
https://launchpad.support.sap.com/#/notes/523381
https://launchpad.support.sap.com/#/notes/146624
SAP BW Version: 7.50 SP19
SAP Kernel Version: 7.53
DBSL Patch:
lib_dbsl_815-80002607.sarIBM i OS: 7.3
SAP Host Agent: SAPHOSTAGENT50_50-20009421.SAR
Hi,
We are also having the same issue. But this is only for newly creating Data Sources on DB Connection. Whatever the data sources already available in production those have no issue.
Any suggestions on this?
